I had never been to the Alps before, there was so many interesting locations across numerous countries that I wanted to see. I didn’t know where to start. Having always been a huge admirer of mountains, I had always wanted to see the Matterhorn with my own eyes, so it felt right to make Zermatt the first place I would visit in the Alps. I am extremely glad we made that decision.
Matterhorn Glacier Paradise.
As the Matterhorn is the main focus in Zermatt, I aimed to shoot it every day during sunrise and sunset. Each day provided a completely different scene from the last, no two days were ever the same. That's what I love about the mountains.
Exploring the streets of Zermatt.
Zermatt has it all.
Not only does Zermatt have amazing scenery, but the streets are also vibrant, full of character and provide visitors and locals with many restaurants, shops, cafe's and more.
Time for some two wheeled fun.
Back into the mountains now, this time to explore the area on bikes. We hired two bikes from a local shop and had one destination in mind. We weren't sure what to expect having not rode a bike for a number of years, but this is a holiday... we are here to have fun.
